Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I moved to Las Vegas in the eighties at the age of 17. I was the girlfriend ,then wife, then widow of a Chicago Mob associate. I have remained in Vegas since and have been a bookie, a showgirl, Adult Club manager , owner of an Outcall service, and finally, an author.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
“Mafia Madame” is the name and it chronicles the tale of as girl who arrives in Sin City and falls hard for an associate of the Chicago Outfit. The story begins with a counterfeiter in 1960s Chicago and his rise to Major earner in Las Vegas. The mobster’s son meets the young girl and her story of entaglement in the illegal sex industry leads to a rich odyssey of love, betrayal and Loyalty.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I write mainly in the evenings. I’m a night owl from a young age, so that’s when my juices flow best.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I love Cimino, Pileggi, Stephen King, Tarantino, you know, the classics of the thriller and crime drama genres.
What are you working on now?
“Mafia Madame, Part 2,”
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Being new, I’m building a fanbase using sites like pretty-hot.com. I like hearing directly from smart, modern readers.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Find a mentor that has published successful books you like. You’d be surprised how much you can learn and how approachable they are to beginning authors.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Write in First-Person.
What are you reading now?
“A Mob Of His Own” by Tony Dark. It’s about Chicago juice lenders.
What’s next for you as a writer?
My next WIP is in storyboard now. I’m promoting “Mafia Madame” with vigor online, via blogs and podcasts. I also host events at the Mob Museum in Vegas.
