Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I was born in NJ, but I’ve lived all over the country. The town I grew up in was a lovely place to raise a family, but too boring for a teenager. As soon as I could, I moved away to start my own adventures.
I have two series, with a third in the works and one stand-alone serial killer novel. A Changed World is a post apocalyptic series. The Asher Blaine Mysteries are a cozy series. Facade, coming out in Spring 2016 will be the first book in the Space Fantasy series, Transmutation.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Scattered Seeds is the 2nd book in the A Changed World Series. It is the culmination of a lot of unfinished stories that I didn’t know should be put together at the various times when I wrote them.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
No…why do you ask?
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Lots. I am always learning new things about writing and world building.
What are you working on now?
Facade – the first book in the Transmutation Series. It is a space fantasy that will be out in the spring of 2016.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I’m still learning and trying a lot of different things. People find me on Facebook or my blog. I have a newsletter that is getting a few new signups now.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Write a lot! Find good beta-readers.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Write what you love. The only way to rise above the crowd is to be unique in your storytelling. The only way to have a unique voice is to be yourself in your writing. It can take a long time before you become comfortable enough to write from your heart and let that uniqueness shine through.
What are you reading now?
I just finished reading Virals by Kathy Reichs.
What’s next for you as a writer?
What is your favorite book of all time?
It’s usually the last one I read.
