Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
‘Romeo Returns’ is the only novel that I’ve completed till date, but ‘Feisty Folklore’, the next one, is not going to take too much time to be released. Real life incidents, when I try to portray through the characters, give different shades to the characters. It’s not writing, my hobby is giving life to imaginary characters.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Rome Returns, which has been released recently, is my debut novelette. I stress on the word ‘novelette’ because it’s a kind of a short novel, not made unnecessarily longer. Inspiration as such never came formally. But many have encouraged me to write, and hence I did.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Writing is not my habit, but thinking is. I keep on thinking thousand things, but write a few. I have written several poems, and short stories,
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Charles Dickens was my idol, but I like those novels which are not too long. Present day authors are writing love stories, but I try to ventilate some social messages through my stories, which are also not devoid of fun, romance or thrilling elements.
What are you working on now?
I am presently working on ‘Feisty Folklore’ as I said. It’s a story of friendship, trust and guilt.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I have never promoted my book; I am not a business-minded guy. I want to present good books to the readers, and I eagerly await their reviews.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
I myself is a new author, to be very honest. So I don’t actually have enough experience to advice.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
My father, being an English teacher, taught me to play with words. This in the long run helped me improve my vocabulary. I still play with words, and I love doing it.
What are you reading now?
At present, I am busy reading my academic books, as exams are coming. I am still pursuing graduation, so I don’t have enough time to read. Still I go through some books on kindle, when I get time.
