Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’ve traveled to 49 out of 50 United States, with Alaska next up! After exploring America for a year, I settled in sunny, sandy Florida, the inspiration for a series of romance novels set on the Atlantic coast. Satin Romance has published the first three in the Salem Crossing series: Riptide, Sandcastles, and Driftwood, with the fourth novel coming this fall–Hurricane. I’ve also published American Royalty, a steamy princess romance novel from Totally Bound Publishing, as well as the hot thriller, iii, on Vella.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The latest in my Salem Crossing series is Book 3: Driftwood. It was inspired by my youth at Grandma’s house watching Days of Our Lives. This story in a soap opera without anyone pumping the brakes on the content–steamy and saucy!
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I read everything from Pride and Prejudice to Pride and Prejudice and Zombies–basically, gimme some Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy, please.
What are you working on now?
Book 4: Hurricane of my Salem Crossing series comes out this fall. I’m finishing the first draft of Book 5. I also am wrapping up the first draft on a cozy romance set in the Midwest.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Never give up. Find an idea that would make YOU interested as a reader. Take the reader on a ride–in my case, it would be on a surf board.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Life is short. Spend as much time on the beach as you can.
What are you reading now?
Throwback time: The Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton. Classic romance.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I would love to be successful enough to travel AND write.
What is your favorite book of all time?
To Kill a Mockingbird
