Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I have bee a very young age, gradually making my stories longer and longer until I decided I wanted to see my name on a book shelf. I have 3 published novels.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
American Holdovers is my third published novel and chronicles not only my time, but, also my many friends and fellow holdovers during our time as a holdover at Ft. Jackson during a hurricane and the consequences and events that transpired because of this a couple years back.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I always listen to the same music, light the same candles, drink the same coffee, etc.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
John Green has been the most influential author in my life, but, when I was younger Jonathon Rand got me into reading with his Chiller series.
What are you working on now?
I JUST finished my novel so I’m going to be taking a small break and focusing on my blog.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
A blog works great. It keeps your writing muscles worked out and establishes a fan base.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Write. No matter what you want to write about, just write. It will never get done if you don’t take that leap.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
For me it was outlines. I struggle with focusing a lot, so, every inch of my book is outlined before I ever start writing it.
What are you reading now?
Looking For Alaska. Again.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I haven’t thought too greatly about it, but, possibly a kids book.
