Sydney Effect : Dystopian Sci-Fi Novel, A Chronicle of Survival, Identity, and Rebellion

About Sydney Effect : Dystopian Sci-Fi Novel, A Chronicle of Survival, Identity, and Rebellion

In a city on the brink, survival demands more than just courage—it demands sacrifice.

Step into the shadowed streets of Sydney in Sydney Effect, a riveting narrative where desperation collides with destiny amidst a crumbling dystopian backdrop. In a city ensnared by corruption and besieged by crime, Maali and Noah, survivors hardened by their past and embroiled on conflicting sides of the law, navigate the perilous landscape of a near-future Sydney. Their lives intertwine through a mission that uncovers D.TEM, a substance with unfathomable power, catapulting them into a vortex of chaos and confronting them with the city’s dark underbelly.

As their journey propels them towards an otherworldly spectacle—an alien vessel casting its ominous shadow over Sydney—Maali and Noah are forced to reckon with the collapsing pillars of their once-glorious civilisation and the true cost of survival. Through their eyes, Sydney Effect explores the echoes of societal decay, the whispers of conspiracy, and the indomitable human spirit’s quest for truth.

Why Sydney Effect is Unmissable:

Thrilling Urban Odyssey: Traverse a Sydney reimagined, where every shadow conceals danger, and every decision could seal one’s fate.
Complex Characters: Delve into the depths of Maali and Noah’s souls as they confront their demons and forge alliances in a world where trust is a currency few can afford.
Sci-Fi Meets Dystopia: Immerse yourself in a tale that marries the intrigue of alien phenomena with the gritty reality of a dystopian society, reminiscent of the visionary worlds crafted by Orwell, Bradbury, Atwood, and Huxley.
Societal Reflection: Beyond the adrenaline, “Sydney Effect” is a mirror to our own world, questioning the paths of progress and the resilience required to change one’s destiny.

Sydney Effect is not just a story; it’s an odyssey through the best and worst of humanity, a compelling blend of speculative fiction and a poignant examination of the human condition. Fans of The Hunger Games, Divergent, and the masterworks of dystopian literature will find themselves captivated by this tale of survival, betrayal, and the search for redemption in a world teetering on the brink of oblivion.

Get your copy of Sydney Effect today and embark on a journey with Maali and Noah as they confront the greatest challenge yet, in a city where the line between desperation and destiny is blurred.

Siphon: Power Comes with a Price

About Siphon: Power Comes with a Price

Apollo, a human-alien hybrid with the otherworldly and unwelcomed ability to kill with a touch, is born and imprisoned in Area 51. A moment of skin-to-skin contact with Apollo instantly turns a person to ash—and creates a massive surge of energy that temporarily ignites other superhuman powers within him. Apollo’s government jailers look to study and exploit him, but he escapes as a teenager and, for a time, finds the simple joys of living as a human before his discovery and recapture.
When dark days threaten humanity’s future, will Apollo play the reluctant hero?
Combining the mystery of The X-Files, the action of Independence Day, and the humanity found in the Superman mythos all rolled into a riveting tale of loss, destiny, and the price of power. Is our protagonist a man, monster, or hero? Perhaps he’s all three?
“Siphon reminds me not of traditional science fiction but of a 1980s Stephen Spielberg blockbuster, in literary form.”

Undercover Alien by Nathan Gregory

Undercover Alien by Nathan Gregory

Undercover Alien is the 4th book in a series, but a prequel, not a sequel. We step back in time nearly two decades to meet a “White Hat” cyber warrior in the employ of “The Agency.”

The Earth is unknowingly at war with extraterrestrials. The “Agency” is engaged in an all-out war with cyber hackers but clueless that the enemy hackers are extraterrestrial. Earth has unknowingly become a battleground for interstellar war, as friendly aliens duke it out with aliens bent on destroying humanity.

Earth’s greatest cyber warrior is a nerdy “White Hat” named Rithwick Jahi Pringle, a.k.a. Ritz, who is “on the spectrum.” He has poor people skills with difficulty looking others in the eye, is face-challenged, i.e., mildly face-blind with people he does not know well, and mildly displays classic symptoms of being “on the spectrum.” However, despite his issues, he is very accomplished, talented, and intelligent. His “island of genius” talent is an exceptional memory, especially for cyber details. His neurodiverse characteristics give him an advantage over neurotypicals. He is in denial of the diagnosis, and marks his neurological traits up to his ability to hyper-focus.

Along the way, he meets and mentors a “skinny kid in a hoodie,” who bears a striking similarity to the hero of the other stories.

The tale aims at an audience more mature than the YA genre; Perhaps the appropriate term is “New Adult;” it is far from explicit, but there is some sexual content.

Ritz is irresistibly drawn to the mysterious “Director” of “The Agency,” which he finds confusing and frustrating. Although good-looking and attractive to women, he finds “Love is a fragile butterfly that never lingers, soon tires of his social stumbling and feigned empathy. Although he enjoys brief romances, he’d rather have a friend. Is Director to be either? Or just another warrior, with a smile for armor?”

Children of Apis Book 2: Territories Clash

About Children of Apis Book 2: Territories Clash

Sometimes, when the temperature heats up, blood boils over.
It is the summer of 2085 and Cowan’s group is trying to enjoy some much-needed rest in the rebel settlement, following their harrowing escape from the Northeast Territory. Their respite may be short-lived since conflict has a way of finding you when you leave a trail of blood and destruction in your wake.
Elsewhere, in the United States, territories are still healing from the eruption which nearly wiped out the entire population. Select few were kept alive, in the secret underground facilities, to repopulate the country. The survivors are finding that life on the surface can be deadly when neighboring territories meet.
As the territories attempt to distinguish between friend and foe, the formation of alliances holds the key to survival. Will the pockets of civilization band together, or will border wars bring the United States to the brink of extinction?
Territories Clash is the second book in the Children of Apis series. The book’s goal is to create a unique blend of the post-apocalyptic and dystopian genres. Hopefully, readers of all ages will enjoy the fast-paced action and follow the survivors on their journey through the Children of Apis series.
