Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I just released my debut novel (Sanctuary) this fall. I was thrilled when it spent a couple days at #1 in Erotic Horror on Amazon. When I began writing it I was hospitalized with a blood clot in my brain and was writing to cope. I’m a disabled author and my invisible illnesses make me a vampire—sunlight is painful, I can’t have garlic, and frequently need blood transfusions.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Sanctuary was inspired by the joke that I am a vampire because of my disabilities. It was my therapy for trauma, but grew into so much more.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I write in my cell phone—frequently utilizing the talk to text feature. I also have Siri read my work back to me when I’m editing.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Sherrilyn Kenyon is my absolute favorite! I’ve barely made a dent in her work. When I get the opportunity to read one of her books I don’t use bookmarks. It’s one sitting or wait for me.
What are you working on now?
I’m working on the first book of a reverse harem mafia trilogy at the moment. I’ve got some dementedly fun things planned for this series. The first one should be out in the beginning of 2024.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Booktok!
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Never give up!
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Sometimes things have to go wrong in order to go right. — Sherrilyn Kenyon
What are you reading now?
I just started re-reading The Warrior Princess Submissive. When I finish that I plan on picking up Haunting Adeline.
What’s next for you as a writer?
My mafia trilogy will keep me busy for a while.
What is your favorite book of all time?
Gone Girl
