Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I write strong females and hard working, hard loving males in small town romances. I believe my release count is up to 80 books! Wow! I am from the Midwest, married to my best friend for over a decade. I love horror movies, murder mystery shows, and french fries!
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Texas Twister is part of a series of romances set in Texas. Mine is about a storm chaser running from a broken past, and the cowboy who helps her find a reason to stop running.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I write all my blurbs, outlines, and create covers before I write a single word. Also, I do most of my writing at my day job as I am still working full time, so I write some steamy stuff sitting at my desk!
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Frankie Love, Alexa Riley, and Jessa Kane. I love their stories and their formula and I know what I am getting when I read them. I hope to create that same sort of I-KNOW-WHAT-I-AM-GETTING appeal with my own readers.
What are you working on now?
After my Texas release, I am working next on a fun little short for a new pen name! Darker and dirtier!
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I am just learning this, but I am reaching out to paid newsletter sites, and networking with Newsletter swaps with author friends!
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Writing is the easy part. There is so much to being an author but if you love it, you can do it.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
To keep reading. I started writing because I love reading. I stopped for awhile, afraid stories I was reading would bleed into my own work, but it’s healthier for me to read between my own releases.
What are you reading now?
Enticing the Scrooge by Jessa Kane.
What’s next for you as a writer?
A very busy year! I am going to my first signings this year and I am very excited, but anxious! I hope to see lots of readers there!
What is your favorite book of all time?
The Outsiders, by SE Hinton.
