What if you’d been in love with your best friend for six thousand years? What if she was supposedly the antithesis of everything you are? Or if you weren’t even supposed to be capable of love? Would you be brave enough to tell her?
Nessa is a demon and Ophelia is an angel. They shouldn’t even be friends. They are actually official rivals; each representing their realm in the North of England, but really they are madly in love. The two have been best friends for thousands of years, since they discovered that surprisingly, their morals tend to align: however, over the years they fell in love with each other. With growing unrest between Heaven and Hell and the threat of war – or worse, apocalypse – the two must discover how far they are willing to go for each other and whether their love is stronger than their fear.
Along with new friends, they learn that life is a lot more complex than their bosses have always insisted, and maybe things aren’t as simple as ‘good’ or ‘bad’. As they fight for each other and what they believe in, they start to wonder if they really can find a grey area between good and evil, away from the rules of both Heaven and Hell; a place where they can finally be together…

Romy has wanted to be an author since she was a child, and was always making up stories, but she hated writing on paper. Luckily, keyboards exist! She started writing ‘Fallen Feathers’ in late December 2023, and by August had written the first three books in a series about LGBT angels and demons in love.
While this is her first book, Romy has written a few other projects in various formats, and regularly writes articles and reviews for the popular theatre review site ‘West End Best Friend’ as well as magazine articles in publications such as ‘The Historians Magazine’.
As well as a writer, Romy is also a historian and is undertaking a Masters Degree in Museum Studies. She is also very involved in theatre; often performing in pantomimes, musicals, and plays; directing pantomimes; and designing props and posters following her degree in Graphic Design. She also sometimes works in TV.
Romy lives in the North of England (that’s why all her characters tend to be reyt Northern) with her lovely family and two sweet kittens!
