About Finding Imani
A victim of domestic abuse, Imani’s situation takes a turn, and she begins a healing journey, hoping to find the lost–and stolen–pieces of herself. With God’s help, she finds both in an unlikely place.
Written in verse, Imani’s story demonstrates the resilience of the human spirit.
“Powerful, emotional, raw, and lovely, Finding Imani will connect with survivors of intimate partner abuse. It gives the hope of healing, and the reminder that victims of abuse can not only survive, but heal, and find beauty and purpose!” ~Loralee Evans, author of The Shores of Bountiful and many other titles.
“I couldn’t put Finding Imani down, and I was compelled to keep reading till the end because it was so captivating. Thank you so very much for writing it, and for the uplifting messages to those of us who have endured domestic abuse. The characters were perfect and the poetry sublime! The story gave me hope for “finding me again,” (wow, did that message resonate with me)!
Thank you again for sharing this beautiful book! I already want to reread it because it gave me so much peace, strength and hope for my own healing.” ~ Cher McLane, author and survivor
