Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’ve written a few dozen books and I will release them one at a time sporadically. I write literary fiction and poetry.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest collection of self-reflection poetry, Loving Strays, is inspired by the many romantic relationships I’ve had. I explore issues with commitment, trauma, and emotional connection. Much of my work focuses on catching behavioral patterns and pinpointing areas for self-improvement.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I write in the shower with a waterproof notepad. I also wake in the middle of the night to write something because my creativity apparently doesn’t care that I’m trying to sleep.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I read across many styles and themes, from Bukowski to Neruda to Gluck to Giovanni. I enjoy romance and philosophy. I read and study many forms. And almost anything can inspire me in some way.
What are you working on now?
I’m currently finishing another collection of poetry and prose about how our romantic relationships can weigh so heavy on us. This collection will be published this coming spring.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I’m fairly active on Instagram.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Be studious. Read everything. Experiment as much as you can within your craft. Be as honest as possible and dig as deep into yourself as you can.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Go find out.
Whatever questions, hopes, desires, urges,
whatever is weighing on your mind…
just go find out.
What are you reading now?
I’ve been reading a lot of the beat-nicks lately; Ferlinghetti, Carlos Williams, O’Hara, and the like.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I’m almost finished releasing my collection of “self-reflections on romance” books. I will then switch my time to my other books that focus on themes of philosophy, childhood, and the writing craft.
What is your favorite book of all time?
Impossible to answer.

This is a very interesting interview, this is a writer. I have a lot of respect for, and was really surprised to hear that he writes on a waterproof pad in the shower. This is a great interview. More and more writers that I respect are starting to study the writing of the beatniks. Thank you for your interview with this excellent writer.
