Jet Thomas is a retired educator and history enthusiast whose lifelong passion for American history and political government has shaped his career in education. With over 25 years of experience teaching and leading in high schools, Jet has dedicated his life to inspiring students to engage deeply with the history and civic responsibilities that shape our nation. He holds an Education Specialist (Ed.S) degree from Missouri Baptist University, which has further fueled his mission to promote understanding and participation in American democracy.
Jet began his career teaching Social Studies, covering topics like Civics, U.S. Government, and World History, and was named Teacher of the Year for his dedication to his students. He went on to serve as Assistant Principal in St. Louis, Missouri for nearly two decades, earning accolades such as Assistant Principal of the Year and the Excellence in Education Award from the St. Louis American Foundation. Throughout his career, he has been a steadfast advocate for equity in education, co-leading initiatives to create an inclusive and supportive environment for all students.
