Lou just loves dogs and all animals. She has been touched by an act of bravery by her family dog, Sparky, growing up. Her then four years old brother Jack almost drowned in the family pool. If it hadn’t been for Sparky’s alarming barking and diving into the pool and letting himself used as a buoyant. This act of bravery saved her brother Jack from drowning further. Since then she has always has been sensitive to stories about dog heroes. She loves telling these stories to her grandchildren when they come and visit her in Maine where she lives. She now started writing stories about animal and human acts of valor and stories worth sharing.
