Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a teacher by profession, mother and grandmother by loving choice, and a secretary and gopher when needed. Having the goal of becoming a writer after retiring, I took a Writing course at Indiana University NW. I also took two correspondence courses from The Institute of Children’s Literature. My first published book was through Lighthouse Christian Publishing, A DOG AND A BOY. Later a YA book, THE HIDDEN TRUTH, was published by Soul Mate Publishing. I also have several self-published books listed on Amazon. Most are children’s books that I wrote with my grandchildren in mind.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
A VISIT HOME begins with the story of two children that were ‘sold’ to a couple who were very abusive. I based this part of the story on events that actually happened in our small town.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I can write even while my husband is watching his YouTube programs.

What are you working on now?
I’ve started a memoir about growing up in a small town in Indiana.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Facebook and Amazon Ads are great.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Don’t give up if you have a great story to tell.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
God has a plan for each person; a plan for celebration, not judgment; a plan for joy, not sorrow; a plan for peace, not fear, if only we allow God to take over and quit resisting.
