Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a former Software Engineer who grew up in Richmond Massachusetts, I am now retired and live with my wife and mother-in-law in Western Massachusetts. I have four grown children, one son and three daughters, three of whom still reside in Massachusetts. I have a B.S. in Mathematics from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and have done graduate work in both Applied Math and Computer Science. I’ve been an avid reader (mostly Science Fiction and Fantasy) since grade school. My first novel was a long time in the making (nearly 20 years) and has been split into two books (Enimnori: Arrival being the first) with the second (Enimnori: Discovery) now available as well. Book 3 (Enimnori:Challenge) was released August 15, 2023 with book 4 (Enimnori:Crisis) well under way.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest published book (Enimnori:Challenge) is the 3rd in the Enimnori series. The ongoing story of an engineer frorm California who gets accidentally transported to a medieval(ish) world where magic is real. This books addresses not only Scott’s life in his new home, but his concerns about the family he leftbehiind (And, yes, we do get to take a peek at their lives since Scott disappeared). He is also drawn into trouble around his other new friends living in the underground complex 3 months travel away.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Not really, I’m a casual, seat-of-the-pants writer. I try to plan ahead a little, but the characters frequently take me in other directions.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Too many to mention. I’ve been reading since grade school. Some of them would be: Robert Heinlein, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Raymond Feist, David Eddings, Mercedes Lackey, Lawrence Watt-Evans and Jim Butcher just to name a few.
What are you working on now?
I am currently working on book 4 in the same series (Enimnori:Crisis)
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
My results have been poor so far. The only results I really see are from Linkedin contacts.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Try to do at least something every day. Don’t let yourself get out of the habit!
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Write about what YOU like!
What are you reading now?
I am currently rereading a fantasy/SF series by Vincent Trigili (Tales of Lost Power). Sadly there will be no more as he passed away several years ago. I just finished rereading The Lost Fleet Series (and it’s spinoffs) by Jack Campbell (yes, I do reread books…A LOT).
What’s next for you as a writer?
Hopefully continuing my series.
What is your favorite book of all time?
Oh, gosh. I really don’t have one. I have read so much, and I like most of them.
