At the age of 11, Ronnie began doing odd jobs and established a lawn maintenance company without owning a lawnmower. He found opportunities at swap meets on the weekends and sold subscriptions to the Army Times during the week when he was 13 and 14. He left home and headed into the Army at the age of 18 with $125 and a backpack.
While in basic, he hustled and resold snacks, cards, batteries, and walkmans to generate enough revenue to not have to touch his very small paycheck. After discovering that his mother had taken that paycheck that he thought he was saving, he severed all economic ties with his mom and started over at the age of 18 with no money at all.
Living in Italy for almost ten years, Ronnie built a career after the military in the music industry.
Managing himself as a functional illiterate in a foreign country, Ronnie worked hard, took advantage of opportunities that were presented, and created some opportunities out of thin air. Understanding the simple rules of supply and demand, the laws of what goes up must come down and clearly understanding what is needed and what is wanted, Ronnie returned to the United States at the age of 32 with a net worth of $25,000. Since then, he has founded several small businesses, purchased a series of homes in the Las Vegas valley, placed his kids in private schools, and became a millionaire on two separate occasions.
His reason for writing this book is to share his experience and hopefully make life better for those who take the time to read it.
