Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am twenty-six years old and I graduated from EIU with a Bachelor's Degree in English. I have written a few books and recently published a YA fantasy novel.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The latest book I published is Rosetta Dagotto and The Fight For the Underworld. It was inspired by my love of Mythology.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I don't think I have any unusual writing habits. I guess it depends on what is considered unusual. I know I come up with an idea first and then write an outline. And after I have a chapter-by-chapter outline, I start writing the novel.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
The authors that have influenced me are J.K Rowling, Christopher Paolini, and Cassandra Clare.
What are you working on now?
I am working on the sequel to the novel that I just published. It's currently called The Deity of Night. It's a work in progress so I don't know when it will be released.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I promote my books on Twitter and Instagram. I also promote on Goodreads.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
I would advise new authors to always keep reading. Even if they don't have a lot of free time, try to make time for reading. Because if you don't have time to read then you don't have time to write. And reading helps improve your writing skills.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
To never give up and to always follow my dreams. One of my High School teachers told me that.
What are you reading now?
I am currently reading Chain of Thorns by Cassandra Clare. I love the Shadowhunter novels and am always excited when she publishes a new one.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I am working on writing the sequel and I also have another book idea in the works. So, a lot of writing and hopefully publishing more books.
What is your favorite book of all time?
My favorite book of all time is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. It's my favorite series as well.
