Michael Colon is a creative freelance writer and novelist, born and raised in the Big Apple, New York City. He uses his craft to profoundly impact the lives of others with thought-provoking words that breathe life into his characters. He often equates his writing to painting masterpieces with prose. His inspiration comes from various societal abnormalities, cultural differences, and his own life experiences. When he isn’t writing, he enjoys working out, watching sports, visiting museums, and exploring nature trails. Michael has written two books.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is called The Gift from Aelius. What motivated me to write it is the desire to show human history and how I felt growing up while using my imagination.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Nothing unusual. I prefer to write my draft cover on paper before typing it.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I would say movies, music, and other art forms inspire me.
What are you working on now?
I’m always working on freelance work and new stories.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I don’t have one best method. Marketing is all about being open minded to the many means of doing so.

After getting a book published the work is not over yet.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Faith, hard work, and consistency will leave you in a better place than yesterday.
