Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I’m retired following two successful careers, including 25 years as a broadcast journalist. I have written six books, five of which are novels. My first book was an autobiography published through StoryWorth.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My lastest novel is called “Murder And No Play”. It’s a standalone follow-up to my first novel, “Play”. Several readers of “Play” shared their ideas with me about what they thought would happen to the main character after the end of the book. I decided to explore that.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Not really. I try to write every day.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I remember reading Alister McLean’s “Fear is the key” when I was in public school and from that moment on I dreamed about one day being able to write and publish a thriller.
What are you working on now?
I’m doing the preliminary outline for another novel in the Shane Daniels Murder Mystery series.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Write what you know.
