Old Mother West Wind Tales by Muz Murray
Children delight in the mischievous antics of the animals and birds of the Grassy Green Meadow, the Pollywig Pool, and the Windily Wood. All the old favourites—groundhog Johnny Chuck, fly-gobbling Grandfather Frog, Jimmy Skunk, and sly Reddy Fox—are joined in their adventures by new characters such as Billy Brock, little Zoëy Otter and her brother Otty, Sneezle the Weasel, and Toby Cockles the Terrapin.
A captivating storybook loved by grown-ups as much as children.
Fun facts about the real-life habits of the animals portrayed in the stories are found after each chapter, offering educational insights about wildlife.
Each chapter is a separate story, only ten, fifteen, or twenty minutes long; being ideal for bedtime reading suitable for bright 3-year-olds and upwards, and for early readers from 6 -12 years.
Many reviewers are saying this book deserves to become a new children’s classic!
Available in eBook, Paperback, and Hardback formats.

“I highly recommend this book. It’s utterly charming and informative. A delight for children (of all ages) who enjoy a good tale. It also has nature notes on the creatures in the tales, thereby cultivating an interest in the natural world. All round a delight.
“Very happy with my purchase.
“I’ve not found another book that ticks all these boxes.”

“It was so refreshing to read these good, wholesome nature tales. As an adult {but young at heart) I enjoyed them immensely. It’s a great way for young children and adults too to learn about our furry and feathered friends. The nature notes at the end of each chapter were brilliant and very informative in a way I hadn’t really expected.”

Author Bio:
In my youth I was a globe-trotting, surrealist painter (friendly with Salvador Dali), a BBC Scenic Artist, Set & Costume Designer and actor in theatre and film. In the Sixties, I became a British spiritual cult hero, as Founder of “Gandalf’s Garden” mystical centre and magazine in London.
Because of my many years of vagabondage, sleeping under the bridges with tramps in Paris, working as an elephant-trainer (in Tel Aviv) and Night-club singer (Acco); a rock-driller in King Solomon’s mines (Timna, Israeli desert); trekking down Africa (being shot at by bandits, surviving knife attacks, hold-ups, poisoned darts and earthquakes), crossing deserts, living with the Dervishes in Turkey and Iran, living three years as a wandering monk in India, not to mention clinging to the outside of an express train for 10 hours through the night, the Media call me the “Indiana Jones of Yoga”.
Now in my Eighties, I look pretty much like Gandalf and am something of a hermit, living alone with the characters of my children’s books and a thousand geckos.
