About Paradise Quilt by R. A. Monday
If so much can happen in a day, a week, a month, a year. Imagine now, how much can happen to one person in a lifetime. Memories of a childhood long ago, where wondering what was for dinner was the biggest worry of the day; memories of holidays past, spent with a house full of loved ones, to memories of those loved ones gone from our presence; reliving chaotic years where mayhem, eye-rolling, and head shaking ensued; recalling miracles that defy explanation, origin, or cause, and mysteries that will never be solved, only accepted as they occurred.
Each memory is of a different design, much like the carefully stitched patches of a quilt. Life is much Like that. Each patch of dreams. tears, laughter, faith, love, tragedy, and celebration, when stitched together, can produce the most beautiful Paradise Quilt. Life is priceless, and unique with its own orchestration of events, stories, and lessons, of which only the storyteller can speak.
Each life is a life wrapped up in time; unique, strange, wonderfully weird, yet blessed beyond measure no matter how humble or meager its beginnings or hardships. Life is a journey traveled individually, entwined within the threads of time.
As Apa would say, “Life is meant to be lived, not feared.
