About Paws, Purpose and Possibilities: How therapy dogs and faith healed my heart by Gail Scoates
I wrote this book in memory of my sister, Karen. I stayed with Karen at the end of her life as she lived courageously with cancer, and watched her two golden retrievers provide loving therapy. This is my journey with therapy dogs for over twenty years as my gift to Karen, to find meaning in her suffering and in my loss. I did not see then, nor many times along the way, how God was present and interceded at each moment. But I see it now.
