Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a Chicago native and moved to Southern California about six years ago. I am a big fan of fantasy and historical fiction. When I’m not writing, I love to travel to the National Parks or California State Parks. I live with my husband and son, two dogs and a cat who I consider my ghost writer because she is always at my side when I am writing. I have written one book so far, and am writing book two of a planned five book series.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The name of my latest book is Chronicles of Asadore: Quest to the Emberlands. I guess the inspiration for my book comes from my love of the fantasy genre.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I really don’t have any unsual writing habits.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Some authors that have infuenced me are Karen Harper and Anne Easter Smith. I love how they write their stories. Even though they are writing about real people, the storytelling is amazing. It is rich with detail and paints a picture of a time long ago allowing you to be immersed and understand those peoples lives.
What are you working on now?
I am writing book two in the Chronicles of Asadore series. I have five books planned for this series. The next book is called Chronicles of Asadore: Echoes of Destiny. It takes our heroes from the first book and has them travel to Ancient Asadore.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I guess the best method I have for promiting my books is social media.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Write what you love. Write what you would want to read yourself. Keep at it, it may be difficult sometimes, but if you keep going, you will be very happy with the results.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
The best advice I have ever heard is believe in yourself, trust yourself and don’t let others make you forget who you are.
What are you reading now?
I am re-reading the Karen Harper novel “The Thorne Maze”
What’s next for you as a writer?
I am plan to continue writing my Chronicles of Asadore series. Once that is finished, I may dive into the historical fiction pool.
What is your favorite book of all time?
Choosing my favorite book is like asking a parent to choose their favorite child. I have too many favorites for different reasons to pick just one. Some are my favoite because I have been reading them since I was little, some are my favorite because my grandma introduced me to them, and finally some are my favorite because they are stories that my kids love.
