Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
So far, I have written two erotic romance short stories, “Hard Cider” and “The Deep West”. I currently have two more in the works, and I plan to write many more. I love romance and cozy settings, so I try to bring those two elements into my stories. Once I have those, I like to add some serious sensual tension to create that build-up between the characters.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest book is called “Hard Cider”, and it was inspired by the love of autumn that’s shared by many. As I write this, it’s that time of year when we’re entering the fall frenzy. There’s a particular farm with a pumpkin patch in my area that I used as inspiration for the setting of the book. I love the tension that’s created when two people are building a romantic connection, and that’s what I tap into to ignite sparks between my characters.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
When I have an idea, I get hyper-focused and have to write it down right that second, but I don’t have any unusual writing habits that I can think of.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I absolutely love cozy mysteries. I recently finished book sixteen of the Domestic Diva murder mystery series by Krista Davis. I’m a sucker for all things warm and cozy, and I try to bring that into my writing a bit, but with a seductive flare.
What are you working on now?
I currently have two more erotic romance short stories in the works. One takes place in a beach town, and one in a remote winter cabin.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
People won’t purchase books they don’t know about, so I think it’s okay to promote in as many places as possible. The internet is an ocean of people trying to be noticed, so I like to promote anywhere and everywhere I can find. I love websites like Pretty-Hot.com and ToplessCowboy.com.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Don’t quit too early. So many people fail because they weren’t consistent. Believe in yourself, work hard, and give yourself a chance to succeed. On the other side of that token, be willing to adjust when something isn’t working and to put your effort into what is working.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
I believe in God, so the best advice I’ve ever received is to trust. I take the actions I think are right, I ask for direction, and I try not to dwell on things too much. As an author it can be easy to obsess and dwell on your sales and reviews, so I try to keep this advice close to my heart at all times.
What are you reading now?
I just finished “The Diva Delivers on a Promise” by Krista Davis. It’s the sixteenth book in the series. Now I’m looking for a new book to read.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I plan to release many, many more erotic romance stories.
What is your favorite book of all time?
“Mere Christianity” by C.S. Lewis.
