Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Hi, I’m Skye, and I’m here to make you laugh, cry, & swoon! My romances are all about strong women learning to love themselves before they can claim their “Happily Ever After” partnership. (Spoiler: they always do!)
I currently have 11 books available, although I’ve written several more than that. Confession: I love making standalone series that create a rich world for you to dive into, no matter which book you begin with!
So, here are my books:
The Anti-Belle Series: Contemporary romances set in Nashville, TN. Office rivals, second chance, enemies to lovers, she’s the billionaire, single parent hidden identity… I bet I’ve written your favorite trope in this 6-book set!
The Connecticut Commodores: Hockey small-town romances. I am a huge hockey fan, and that shows in these books!
The Unlikely Pairings Series: Contemporary romances written as Sarah Skye. This trilogy was co-authored, and it is just so fun!
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
SCORED ON is my new release. It’s book 2 in my hockey series, so hockey inspired it. But there’s more…
Ethan (the MMC) has a drinking problem. That was inspired by people in my life who have put down the bottle for good.
Stella (FMC) has always bowed to her parents’ decisions. When she falls for “bad” boy Ethan, she must make her own choices. The song “But Daddy I Love Him” definitely gave me some oomph when it came to writing several scenes!
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I always have to have a beverage beside me. And I like listening to lyrical music, which many do not!
Oh, and I hold a dance party in my office when I finish a book!
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Brenna Aubrey’s Gaming the System series was an early influence, as was Christina Lauren’s Beautiful series. I also love Jules Barnard and Bella Andre for the way they create worlds within their series.
What are you working on now?
I am deep in my hockey era. In the Crease, Commodores book 3, will be out in September. After that… well, that’s a secret for now. 😉
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I promote my books on Facebook, my own website, and also by attending book events. Those are the places I have most success connecting to readers.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Write. Just write. Then worry about the rest!
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
“In ten years’ time, will you regret it if you don’t publish your books?”
What are you reading now?
Blood Rogue by Linda Parisi
What’s next for you as a writer?
I am attending a lot of events this summer, so that is on deck. But my next project is a secret right now!
What is your favorite book of all time?
A Wrinkle in Time. (Bet you weren’t expecting that one!)
