Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I was born and raised in Paris, France from Congolese parents. I am a London-based international entrepreneur involved in a variety of companies. Since I have been a kid, I always had an overflowing Imagination. Today, I do business by day and write by night. 100 Dates and a Wedding is my first book.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My first book is called 100 dates and a wedding which relates the dating adventures of a 30-year-old French Divorcee in London. The book was inspired by my own experiences and some of my friends.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I usually start writing very late (like 2 am) with a glass of French Rosé or a Dessert wine from Bordeaux.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I have to admit, I don’t read a lot of Chick Lit anymore, I am more into historical and inspirational biography from successful entrepreneurs. It’s probably why my book has a very particular and different format compares with other Chick lit books. But I have been influenced by authors in my category such as Helen Green, Sophie Kinsella, or Dawn Porter.
What are you working on now?
I am working on a few entrepreneurial and creative projects and writing a new romantic book.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Well, I feel like social media has been the best place for me so far. And Facebook remains the best place for me to sell my book.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
The main advice I would give to new authors is to stay real to themselves especially if you’re lucky enough to be self-published. Nobody will dictate what can be said, written, or censored.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
If you try to please everybody, you will lose everyone. You’ll always have people that won’t like you, your book, or both.
What are you reading now?
I am currently reading Richard Branson’s latest book “Finding My Virginity: The New Autobiography”.
What’s next for you as a writer?
My second romantic novel, I can’t wait to introduce it to the world. ANd why not a web series of 100 Dates and a Wedding.
What is your favorite book of all time?
The Magic of Thinking Big by David J. Schwartz, and L’Etranger by Albert Camus.
