I was one of the very few openly gay federal law enforcements officers. As a result, it gave me a different slant on criminal investigations. While the pay was nice, I loved what I did which shows up in the 16 chapters of my book, which are 16 different investigations. I received many Special Achievement commendations and was proud to be named Federal Law Enforcement Officer of the Year in 2003.
In retirement when not skiing or biking I spend my time destroying perfectly good golf courses.
