Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Tammy Leigh Robinson, author of the NAMELESS Trilogy, enjoys bringing stories of the Bible to life by looking deep into the Jewish culture of that time.
Through Tammy’s many life experiences, she has become a strong and courageous woman who wholly believes we can do all things through G-d who gives us strength.
Stories of Good Grief is Tammy’s third published book; a compilation of 20 people’s stories of grief and how they are working through it. In this book Tammy shares her experience of her six-month-old daughter’s death. Tammy describes the ten stages of grief and explains the stages may come in waves, one after another. She explains people may experience more than one stage at a time and the stages may come multiple times.
Tammy enjoys speaking opportunities where she can share her story, encourage people to keep going and never give up.
Tammy is blessed to live in picturesque Nackawic, New Brunswick, home of the world’s largest axe, with her husband and soulmate Keith Robinson. She has four grown children, a grand-daughter and a great-grandson whom she adores.
Tammy’s business, TLR Publishing, has expanded to include brainstorming, coaching, editing and publishing other authors’ works. This currently includes books for children, a young adults’ novel, journals and a memoir.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
NAMELESS Trilogy is a collection of 3 books about 3 women in the New Testament of the Bible who put action with their faith, courage and forgiveness.
This trilogy was inspired by the fact that many of us read the Bible and miss out on the power of the stories because we don’t know details about the culture and time.
I’ve researched the culture of the first century and brought to life the stories of the woman who had been bleeding for 12 years, the Samaritan woman who met Yeshua (Jesus) at the well, and the woman who was brought to Yeshua because she was caught in adultery.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Brock and Bodie Thoene have influenced me because their books brought history to life for me.
What are you working on now?
I am collecting stories for the second volume of Stories of Good Grief. The first volume is a collection of 20 people’s stories of grief and how they are managing their grief. Grief never leaves us; it simply changes over time.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Write every day. Write at least 500 words a day. If you miss more than one day you fall out of the groove. To write every day you will stay in the space you need to be in to write creatively.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
“Never go to bed angry.”
Although this was in reference to being married, putting this practice in place helps me have a peaceful sleep and wake the next morning with a joy and gratefulness for the day ahead.
What are you reading now?
A book by Grace Fox; Names of G-d, Living Unafraid.
What’s next for you as a writer?
I will be interviewed on Legacy Makers, of YES TV on February 14th.
What is your favorite book of all time?
Three, by Ted Dekker, a Christian thriller writer.
