About The Shadows of Fate: Book 1 of Brigante Ark Series
In a city called Kayon, Alastor and his group of Glade mercenaries are assigned to investigate recent cases involving an important data disc. They successfully steal it but are pursued by enemies. However, the police arrive, allowing Alastor to escape. In the meantime, Alastor visits an ex-Glade mercenary named Meil, who warns him about impending danger. The Canaries, another group, come to the city, and they all discover that there are deeper mysteries at play. They learn about the Kelby Hives’ CEO, Theo Koel Juvel, who is responsible for various illegal activities. The Glade mercenaries change their mission to infiltrate the Kayon Chemical Factory and confront Theo. During the mission, they find disturbing experiments on humans and save a woman named Sherry. However, the Canaries capture Alastor and Sherry, leading to a series of battles and revelations. Eventually, they were given no choice but to unite against the plot to destroy the city. The Glade mercenaries and others then confront Theo, resulting in a climactic battle. Even though, the fight is done it is yet to determine the result, but one thing they knew, what happened in Kayon will set a chain reactions for another brew of conflict.
